Profile/Previous Results

Amy started karate around the age of 7 having followed her brother, William, and his friend along who were eager to particpate.  She started competing roughly three years later and the rest they say is history.  Amy started as a member of the highly successful Kei Shin Kan Karate club in Lower Hutt, New Zealand under the guidance of coaches Stella Lenihan and Mark Pennell.  However, since moving to London, Amy joined Gendai-ryu Karate under 7 times world champion Molly Samuel-Leport, then Kaizen Central karate under William Thomas, another world champion.

Outside of karate Amy has now completed a Bachelor (Hons) Media and Creative Industries from University of East London.  After completing her first year of a Bachelor of Commmunications at Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand she transferred over to complete her degree after moving to London.
